II Chronicles 5:13-14: "It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For He is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."

At First Church, we believe that music is more than just a song. It is the foundation for our Praise & Worship to Almighty God.

In addition to the First Church Worship Choir, First Church is also home to numerous musical groups and soloists. God has blessed us with a wide array of talented individuals who give tirelessly of their time and energy to making each Worship Service a life-changing experience.

First Church Worship Choir (FCWC)
Moving the heart of God with worship, touching the lives of people through ministry.

First Church Worship Choir is a thriving music ministry of First Church. This 40 plus member ensemble leads the congregation in worship and provides special music for each Sunday morning service. The mission of FCWC is to reach vertically to move the heart of God with worship and to reach horizontally, ushering people into the presence of Almighty God.

Diverse in musical styles, FCWC's repertoire includes original songs, gospel choir tunes, and relevant worship songs. Influenced by dynamic choirs such as Chicago Mass Choir, Mississippi Mass Choir, CLC Youth Choir, Thompson Community Singers, Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, and others, First Church Worship Choirs own unique sound has emerged as a rich blend of Pentecostal soul, seasoned with true anointing. This choir is much more than a collection of fine vocalists; FCWC is a troop of worship leaders!

This powerful ministry is making a difference in the lives of many people as FCWC ministers through songs of praise, healing, restoration, redemption, and hope. FCWC is passionately committed to the cause of Christ and endeavors to pursue musical excellence for His glory.
